Well EJ had his appointment with the pediatric gastro Dr. on monday. I think it went really well...
It seems EJ is not just lactose intolerant, he is actually allergic. So he will never be able to have milk or anything with milk in it. And in case you do not know, the processed foods that contain milk are millions. Almost everything has milk in the ingredients! So for now, since I am breastfeeding, I have to be very very careful with what I eat.
The good news is, that since I removed any milk from my diet, not only has EJ gotten better as far as his reflux and mood, but his rash has almost completely gone away! We haven't had any blood in his stool either. I am so glad we know what it is now!
Monday he goes for an upper GI just to make sure everything is anatomically alright. He has also been put on ranitidine for one month to help with his reflux.
As far as his suck/swallow issue is concerned, we have been told just to stop giving him bottles at this time. She said he may be ready to try at about 5 months, but not yet. It only frustrates him now when we try.
So all in all I think it was a great appointment and I loved the doctor! She was very thorough and very kind.
EJ turns 2 months on friday so I will try to take a lot of pictures then!
God Bless!

YEA for Austin!

My not-so-little man is officially 100% potty trained! I can not believe it. He has been pooping in the potty perfectly all week. It is so easy for him now, that I wonder why it took this long. But, I am just so thrilled. So, so thrilled. I truly believed, when he started Pre K in the fall, that he would still be wearing pull ups for #2! But he did it, he really did. It took some persuading with start wars figurines in the end. Yes I am not above bribery :)
Well congrats my sweet boy. What a milestone!
In other news, EJ had another bout of bleeding but it has since dissapeared again. I will let you know how his appointment goes on monday.
God Bless!
