Quad screen results are in!

Well I just wanted to let you all know my Quad screen results came in and they are "great"!! Negative for downs. I am so happy! God is so good!!

Our ultrasound in wednesday (I got it moved up a day!!) and I am so excited! I love seeing this baby. Every week that passes is another week closer to meeting him/her!

Thank you for all of your prayers!!!

better than expected!

Well yesterday was a hard day for me. I start dreading the 19th of September as soon as September is on the horizon. However, this year, I handled it well and even...thanks largely to my amazing husband, had some good moments.
The 19th was the day my father passed away and it always arrives with a twinge of sadness. Last year on that day I was in the ER learning that the fate of our baby was uncertain. We ended up losing that baby later on. So the 19th is hard in most aspects. Yesterday arrived despite my strong will and I started the day with baby Tad kicking me awake. Thank God for this baby. This incredible blessing. It is amazing how life really does heal wounds. I made it to work and managed through my morning patients. Then a surprise! Adam showed up at my work with flowers in hand!! He took me out to lunch at one of my favorite places, and we had a great lunch. He is my knight in shining armor. He is my best friend and I was so grateful to see him yesterday. I got home early and snuggled my son. For all I have lost, I still have so much. For this I am infinitely grateful. God has blessed me so much. So very much.

I guess time does heal wounds, and I imagine my family has had a huge part in helping me as well.

Dad, I still miss you and I always will. I love you. I mourn that you will never know your grandchildren or my husband. I know you will meet them all one day though.

wonderful, blissful sunday

Well despite the fact that my two men are sick, we are having a very wondrous day. Today has a serene calmness that is so contagious.

So in addition to this being Sunday, and I love Sunday, these are some other things that we have been up to.....

Austin got a... ummm...horrible...no FABULOUS hair cut from yours truly!!! I am no hair cuttery and well my lack of talent shows. However it is an improvement over his very long locks. Also if you knew what I had to do for him to let me cut his hair, you would be impressed! I think the time has come that we need to move on to professional help in the hair department!

I made the most delicious breakfast. At least Tad and I thought so. Scrambled eggs with spinach, tomato, bell pepper, cheese and salsa. MMMMMMMMM....that spells BLISS...

Austin and I build a "tank" this morning. I am pretty sure that will be going on my resume! It was even equipped with cannons. ;)

We had a picnic outside on our dock. It was nice outside actually. Had a breeze and the mosquitoes we not bad. I love the outdoors and having fabulous company while dining outside make for one good lunch. Thank you Austin!

Tad is wiggling around letting mommy know he is safe and sound. Speaking of Tad I finally took a belly shot. I am not promising quality here. I am just proud I took one.

And now, here I am blogging in my pink Farve jersey. All three of us are wearing ours and are excited for this football season!

Alright and now the picture proof....I really do LOVE Sundays. Thank you Jesus for this amazing and beautiful day.

Go Farve

Picnic time! Here mommy I want to share with you!!

Lost in thought or food?.....sigh look at that hair......

Toby felt left out so I had to take a pic!

And last but not least here was my breakfast....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I hope all of you are having a wonderful BLESSED Sunday as well.

This morning, with kleenex and tissue in hand, Austin and I ventured outside to take some pics of our dear friends. They are out every morning and are so fun to watch. Enjoy

breathe

Well since I am at my new blog now I am determined to start fresh.
So as a breath of fresh air fills my lungs here I go!

Today has been a good day. I am home sick with Austin. We have been battling colds (nothing serious) and we are having one lazy day. He is still down for his nap so I get some "Mommy time". He has grown so much in the past couple of weeks. Not only physically and emotionally but spirtually. Just this morning as we were eating breakfast, he reminded me that we had not said grace. So we did and all was good in the world. He then told me today that he loved Jesus. I can't really explain what that does for my soul. We also talked about the baby. We are in the process of setting up the crib and the will-be nursery, and this promotes a lot of discussion. "Am I the baby's friend?" Of course you are!! "Yes I love the baby!" "Does he love me?" Of course. You are his/her big brother and that is VERY special! With a big smile he then romps off to play with some toys.
He is truely amazing in his sheer love of all things. His passion. For only 3 he has such wisdom. We are also starting homeschooling this week. We are beginning with a weekly bible verse and a weekly letter. He will get a picture of an item that starts with that letter as well. Even though he is still young, he is just so smart I know he will do well! Wish us luck!

The baby is doing great. I am still feeling little kicks here and there. I also had my blood work yesterday for downs/neural tube defects. I am nervous. Who isn't? I am so guilty of profound worry. However I know that God's plan is perfect, and whatever is to be will be. So I am waiting for those and will get them sometime next week. Our next ultrasound is the 25th and I am really looking forward to that. We will be half way there. Half way. That is an amazing milestone in and of itself.
I still haven't taken any belly pictures. I really need to do that. I will make that a priority this weekend.

Adam and I are getting settled into our new home and it is starting to actually feel like home. What a nice feeling! I am so glad I have my best friend through all of this! I wouldn't be able to do it without him!!
Well I have to go for now and use the rest of this "mommy time" cleaning! God Bless!

Jesus

Carry me, comfort me, and be my strength. I shall praise You in the storm for I know You are with me.
Amen
